Nepal was defeated by the home team Malaysia by 6 wickets in DL method on Friday. Malaysia completed the target of 85 runs with the loss of 4 wickets in 16.2 overs in a rain-affected match shortened to 18 overs. For Malaysia, Aina Hashim scored unbeaten 37 runs and Ijati Immail contributed 21 runs.
In bowling, Nepal’s Pura Mahato, Sita Rana Magar and Rubina Chhetri took 1 wicket each. Before that, Nepal, who lost the toss and batted first, could only score 83 runs in 18 overs losing 7 wickets.
