Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has embarked on a strategic partnership with IME PAY, marking a significant development in the promotion of cricket in Nepal. The announcement was made during a press meet, where Nepal’s ormer captain and cricketing icon as well as CAN Secretary, Paras Khadka, signed the agreement, outlining the collaboration between CAN and IME PAY.
**Ticket Sales for Two Years**
The pivotal agreement entails IME PAY serving as the exclusive platform for both digital and physical match tickets for all cricket games hosted in Nepal over the next two years. This partnership will streamline the ticketing process for cricket enthusiasts, enhancing the overall experience of attending cricket matches. The contract’s total value stands at a substantial 1.5 crores for the two-year duration. As part of this collaboration, IME PAY will also receive 12.5% of the revenue generated from ticket sales for CAN-organized matches.
**Nepali Cricket Icons as Brand Ambassadors**
In another significant development, IME PAY has appointed two renowned figures from the world of Nepali cricket, Karan KC and Sompal Kami, as brand ambassadors for the company. These seasoned senior players and fast bowlers will lend their prominence to promote IME PAY, endorsing the platform’s services and benefits. As part of their role, Karan KC and Sompal Kami will receive a yearly remuneration of 5 lakhs.
**Expanding International Cricket in Nepal**
Furthermore, CAN’s Secretary, Paras Khadka, disclosed a visionary plan to elevate international cricket in Nepal. CAN intends to host a remarkable 25-30 international matches within the span of one year, encompassing both men’s and women’s cricket.
