Koshi province continued its impressive performance in the ongoing women’s national cricket tournament under the captaincy of Rubina Chhetry. Opting to bat first, Koshi posted a competitive total of 129 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Skipper Rubina Chhetry led from the front, scoring her first half-century in the tournament with 57 runs from 64 balls.

Chasing the target of 152 runs, Lumbini struggled and was bowled out for just 61 runs. Indu Barma, with her all-round performance, took 3 wickets for 7 runs, helping APF maintain their winning streak. Indu Barma was named the Player of the Match for her outstanding contribution.
Match 11: Sudurpaschim vs Karnali
Sudurpaschim secure second consecutive win, Karnali losing third in a row
Sudurpaschim continued their winning momentum, securing their second consecutive win against Karnali. Batting first, Sudurpaschim posted a total of 151 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. Kabita Joshi played a stellar knock, remaining unbeaten with a record score of 78 off 50 balls.

Gandaki posted a competitive total of 112 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Opener Anjali Bishwakarma (32 off 42), Suman Khatiwada (28* off 22), and Seemana KC (28 off 41) were the standout performers with the bat. Despite the efforts of Bagmati’s skipper Ashmina Karmacharya, Karishma Gurung, and Manisha Upadhyay, who took a wicket each, Gandaki managed to put up a challenging target.
In response, Bagmati faced an early setback, losing their first wicket for just 10 runs. However, steady partnerships throughout the innings led by Yashoda Bisht, who scored an unbeaten 39 runs, guided Bagmati to a hard-fought victory in the 19th over. Notably, Shristi Jaisi took 2 wickets for Gandaki, and three Bagmati batters were run out during the chase.
On the fourth match day tomorrow, two top of the table and unbeaten sides APF and Koshi will face eachother in Mulpani in afternoon match whereas Bagmati and Sudurpaschim will be looking for their third win in Kritipur. Karnali and Lumbini in Kritipur and Gandaki and Madhesh face eachother in Mulpani in morning matches.
