In the first encounter today, Lumbini faced Karnali.Lumbini came to bat first after losing the toss. Skipper Saraswati GM played a captain’s knock, scoring an unbeaten 53 off 62 balls, steering Lumbini to a total of 133/5 in 20 overs. Ashma Pulami contributed 25, and Chameli Chaudhary scored 18. Karnali’s bowlers, Yamuna Tharu, Rashmi Khadka, and Trishana Bishwakarma, claimed a wicket each.
Chasing 134, Karnali struggled as wickets fell at regular intervals. Despite efforts from Gauri Bohara (22) and Yamuna Tharu (21), they managed only 103/7. Saraswati Pun and Kritika Marasini took 2 wickets each. Saraswati GM’s match-winning knock earned her the Player of the Match award.

Madhesh Clinches First Win with Puja Mahato’s All-Round Brilliance
Gandaki, opting to field after winning the toss, made an early breakthrough by dismissing opener Aarti Mahato in the first over. However, Puja Mahato’s resilient innings of 38 runs from 42 balls and Saraswati Kumari’s unbeaten 26 from 21 balls propelled Madhesh to a competitive total of 112/7. Suman Khatiwada stood out with the ball, claiming 3 wickets for Gandaki.
In pursuit of 113, Gandaki faltered, managing only 85 runs in 19.4 overs. Suman Khatiwada top-scored with 42 runs from 33 balls. Puja Mahato showcased her all-round prowess, taking 3 wickets for just 7 runs. Puja’s stellar performance earned her the well-deserved Player of the Match accolade.
Match 15: Bagmati vs Sudurpaschim
Sudurpaschim Secures Third Consecutive Win with Kabita Joshi’s Heroics
Choosing to bat first, Bagmati faced a batting collapse, posting a modest total of 87/8. No batter surpassed 20 runs, with Kanchan Shrestha top-scoring with 19. Sudurpaschim’s Laxmi Saud and Kabita Joshi took 2 wickets each. In from batter Yashoda Bist was run out for just one run which brought the game hugely in favour of Sudurpaschim.
Chasing 88, Sudurpaschim faced early hiccups losing 3 wickets for just 35 runs but stabilized with Bindu Rawal (28) and Kabita Joshi’s unbeaten 27. Despite losing a four wickets, Sudurpaschim achieved the target in 19 overs, winning by 6 wickets. Kabita Joshi’s all-round brilliance earned her the Player of the Match award.
Match 16: APF vs Koshi
APF Clinches Fourth Consecutive Win, Koshi Falters with the Bat
In a clash between the top two teams, Koshi opted to bat after winning the toss. Openers skipper Rubina Chhetry (41) and Kajal Shrestha (25*) were in the crease until 16th over but failed to accelerate throughout the innings. Koshi managed only 84/2 in 20 overs. APF’s bowlers, including Sonu Khadka and Karuna Bhandari got a wicket each and all bowlers were economical.
Chasing 85, APF got off to a steady start, with Jyoti Pandey (24) and skipper Sita Rana Magar (18). National captain Indu Barma finished the match with a six, remaining unbeaten on 36 runs from 34 balls. Indu Barma’s all-round performance earned her the Player of the Match award.
With this win, APF has nearly secured a spot in the playoffs, while Koshi needs to win all remaining matches to make it to Qualifier 1 after their first loss.
Action resumes on Wednesday with Karnali facing APF, Gandaki against Koshi, Bagmati meeting Lumbini, and Madhesh taking on Sudurpaschim.
